Ferrochrome is an iron alloy with chromium and iron as its main components. It is one of the main alloying agents used in the iron and steel industry. Besides the main components chromium and iron, it also contains impurities such as carbon, silicon, sulfur and phosphorus. Ferrochrome contains 55% ~ 75% chromium, according to the carbon content is divided into high carbon (4% ~ 10%C), medium carbon (0.5% ~ 4%C), low carbon (> 0.15% ~ 0.5%C) and micro-carbon (≤0.15%C) ferrochrome.
High carbon ferrochrome is also known as carbon ferrochrome, medium, low and micro carbon ferrochrome is also known as refined ferrochrome. A high carbon ferrochrome produced by chromium ore with a low ratio of ferrochrome, containing Cr 50% ~ 55% called the charge grade ferrochrome, and nitrogen containing N2% ~ 10% of ferrochrome as a nitrogen alloying agent, also known as ferrochrome nitride.

Use of ferrochrome
Chromium is one of the important strategic materials, because of its hard quality, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties, in the metallurgical industry, refractory materials and chemical industry has been widely used.
The addition of chromium to steel can significantly improve the oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance of steel. Chromium is found in many steels with special physical and chemical properties. Chromium in steel is added with ferrochrome. High-carbon ferrochrome is used as an alloying agent for ball steel (0.5% ~ 1.45%Cr), tool steel, die steel (5% ~ 12%Cr) and high-speed steel (3.8% ~ 4.4%Cr), which can improve the hardenability of steel and increase the wear resistance and hardness of steel.
Adding chromium to cast iron can increase hardness, improve wear resistance, containing chromium 0.5% ~ 1.0% can improve its mechanical properties. High carbon ferrochrome and charge grade ferrochrome are widely used as the charge for smelting stainless steel (AOD or VOD method) to reduce production costs. Medium and low carbon ferrochrome is used in the production of medium and low carbon structural steel, carburized steel, manufacturing gears, high pressure blower blades, valve plates, etc. Micro-carbon ferrochrome is used in the production of stainless steel, acid-resistant steel, heat-resistant steel and electric heating alloys.

Packaging of ferrochrome
Product packaging: tons of bags, can be packaged according to customer requirements. Various grades and different particle sizes can be produced according to user needs.
Advantages of ZX Ferrochrome?
The price of ferrochrome is competitive: as a manufacturer of ferro chrome, ZXferroalloy supplies the ferrochrome directly from our factory and avoids unnecessary expenses.
As the manufacturer of nitrided ferro manganese, ZXferroalloy can supply various types of nitrided ferromanganese. The material can be processed to powder, lump, and cored wire as customers’ requirement.
The nitrided ferro manganese produced by ZXferroalloy with high content of nitrogen and manganese and low content of impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, etc. We test the chemical composition in our own factory. We also accept third-party inspections such as SGS, BV, etc.
The ZXferroalloy has 4 production lines of nitride ferroalloy, the annual output is more than 17,000 tons. The delivery time is within 7-15 days after signing the contract.
